So I was just chatting with a good friend of mine named Will Perone. He's been having some very hellish problems with his colin over the past 3-4 years. I haven't seen him online in a while, and he sends me an IM that says "Dude, you are not gonna believe this!"

He then goes on to tell me that he just got out of the hospital. Three weeks ago he went in for the usual stuff and were like "Your colin is completely dead. If we do not remove it now, you will die". So they removed his large intestine.

The horrors that this guy has been through over the past 4 years are incomprehensible. And this just tops it off. I'm almost in tears.

Yet, he seems strangely up-beat.

I asked him what was the plan now, and he said that since it was his colin that was causing him all of these problems that he should be much better after the next surgery in 2 months. Currently, they have his small intestines emptying into a bag, which he must empty manually. He said that he needs help because he weighs only 86 lbs.

He said that in the next surgery, they will take his small intestine and try to re-form a colin.

"then I guess I'll have some sort of semi-colin heheh"

This guy is far braver than I'll ever be. To be so close to death, to experience such horrors for 4 years, and yet still able to joke about it.
