My mom came into my room this morning shaking and in tears to tell me that my step father had died last night...
I don't know how to feel about this situation. He moved in when I was 8 years old and started being "dad" to my brother and me.. When I was 16, he started cheating on my mom with whores . I saw my mom go through a lot. She kept letting him back, and he kept fucking her over with whores. He broke up our family. Not only did he abandon her, but he abandoned my brother and me when he was the only dad that we knew....
So now that I am 36... and in recovery from a 17 year heroin addiction... I don't know how to handle my feelings... I feel sad and my hands began to shake just like my mom... I am mad at him still, but hope that I can begin to have forgiveness. I know I will never get over it if I remain mad...
