i just watched the Black Dalia....
i dont know why it didnt get better reviews... i thought it was really good.
what a sexy period in time. men in three piece suits and women who smoked from stemmed ciggarrettes... very sexy.
i love noir films tho so maybe im biased.

after that i watched the L word.
im hooked for life! i love that show so much!
Bette is totally my favorite... she reminds me of my mom in a wierd way.
i dunno... i feel empowered watching other women being powerful.
is that progress for someone so disinclined to liking other women (other than naked ones?)
who knows?

yeah...actually i do know (and love) Stan Rice. I'm honored that you hear an echo of him in my work. I've had a hard time finding his books, but what i have read, i've loved. was quite sad to hear he'd passed.
i love noir too, but was rather disappointed with black dahlia. it may have been that i didn't pay enough attention...but i think it's more likely because i dislike...most of the cast.
