Well; looks like the date was a flop after all. We went out and say "The Village"(which was a great movie, by the way, just not at all what I expected it to be) tonight and had a good enough time I suppose. But, and this is the big 'shocker', turns out she's not really interested in me after all!
You see, there is another guy who she is no longer dating but seems to be still stuck upon. Said guy keeps telling her to go out and hook up with other people and has told her he doesn't love her, but she claims these are mixed signals and....well you get the rest.
Hell, maybe I'm just reading the signals wrong, right? I mean there is NO reason to think that, just because a girl searches you out at work and then talks your ear off for going on 45 minutes, that she's interested in you. Right?! I mean, its crazy talk to think that that might be a sign of attraction.
I am so fucking discouraged right now. Why can't someone I am attracted to ever feel the same way in return? I'm not a pessimist and so I'm sure there are women out there who are attracted to me, but they never seem to be ones that I'm interested in.
I'm just getting back into dating after an absence(brought on by bussyness as well as a few other things) and I would like a little encouragement right now instead of all of this basketcase behavior I've been getting lately.
