Turns out some of the smileys move. You probably knew that, but my old firewall kept me from seeing it. I miss my old firerwall, and hope to reinstall it soon. Now what was I actually going to say...

Off to see Sin City with some friends shortly. Later, hope to hit Hi-Fi with a decent group. That may not happen. Some of the people...

So a lot of my journals lately have been depressed rants.

Pretty much done with that.

Not that I've had an epiphany or anything, but frankly, I think we've all had enough. So here's something else. This is how I'd like next season to go for Scorpio, my theatre group.
FIRST UP: Two Guys, a Couch, and the Fate of the World. Phil and Chris...

Today is a personal landmark I call "1000 days since I last said I love you." An even 1000 days since the separation started. Along the way, the "trial" separation would become permanent, fix-up attempts would go disasterously wrong, and I would remain alone for the entire 1000 days. And counting.

In my dream, I held her close. She was warm, like I remember another...

It's over now. The Spy Who Left Me, the defining aspect of my life and the one thing I looked forward to above all else since Mexico, has wrapped. The cast party was brilliant fun, ran until 4 AM, leaving me in no condition to move couches the next day then work until midnight. And yet I did.

The post-show depression hasn't fully kicked in...

And at last, here it is... as you may recall (I'm sure I mentioned it) I won the grand prize at Theatre Junction's Random Acts festival a while back, and this meant I received a GIANT CHEQUE for $2500 (which I have to split with the cast, but still). Well, say hello to my little friend!

Hm. Harder than I thought. Well, I've actually got...

So very overworked.
So very tired.
Play going well. You should come see it.
Next update should be worthwhile, but now too tired.
Have to work from noon tomorrow until 6:00 Tuesday night. Gonna die soon.

THE GOOD: At the Gates, my play about an athiest arriving at the Pearly Gates to meet a surly St. Peter, has won the Embridge Emerging Artist award at Theatre Junction's Random Acts festival. This rocks. I rock. SO very much rocking, on top of which I'm off to Duran Duran later tonight. biggrin smile biggrin

THE BAD: I think, despite my best efforts to avoid it,...

So the other day, Wednesday to be specific, was the first day of Theatre Junction's Random Acts festival of emerging works. Each evening they provide a showcase of new short plays, and Wednesday inculded mine, At the Gates, a wonderful little piece about an athiest arriving at the Pearly Gates to be greeted by a surly St. Peter. What was interesting about this is...

So, this is how the weekend went.

FRIDAY:
Friday night was Kink at Detours. Normally this would not register on my list of things to do; Kink night at the gay bar is, frankly, totally out of character for me. But Jeff'n'Gina were going with two of their friends, one of whom was breaking in a new leather corset and the other of which was...

End plug.

See, here's the thing. I'd like to update more often, I would. But first I feel I need something interesting to say. And what is there? Typically I just work at the Moviedome, and while hanging around a haunted booth doing script revisions and the occasional bit of work...
