Long time, no update. For pity's sake, I must have something to say. Well, let's give it a shot.
JDRook is currently inactive here. That will likely change soon, but not today, so I'll point out that he's currently appearing in A Chorus Line, opening tonight at the Engineered Air Theatre here in Calgary. Saw it last night, thanks to my Growing Influence. It was alright. Gets a bit maudlin towards the end, which got For Now, the closing number from Avenue Q, stuck in my head. For Now is, depending on your interpretation, either uplifting or savagely depressing, but it's not from A Chorus Line, so I can't help but wonder why the song in my head is from another show. Still, if you think you'd like to watch A Chorus Line, this slightly re-imagined edition is perfectly acceptable. Not a glowing endorsement, but then it's not my gorram show.
Any day now I'm going to have to do something scary. Something I want to do yet don't, knaamean? As Duran Duran puts it, "I've got a lot to lose, but everything to gain, when I really think about it."
