Tonight's word is time.

These days I have the time to tackle something I should have dealt with some time ago. Specifically, tonight began an experiment. How shall it go? Too soon to tell. No, I'm not giving further details right now. No, not even to you, Michele and Masquerade. We'll just have to wait and see.

Another draw on my time is network television's sudden rediscovery of quality programming. Heroes is not a flawless program, and yet I need it like a drug. This week's episode was the big climax for the much-hyped plotline, "Save the cheerleader, save the world." We're still waiting on the "save the world" part, but "save the cheerleader" happened. A pivotal episode, if you listened to the marketing, and still fairly pivotal just watching it. I don't mind telling you, Saturday night I had no less than four dreams about how the showdown with the sinister Sylar would turn out. None of them were even close, But that was the real flaw of the episode: it was imprpoerly marketed. But that's neither here nor there.

There are two things I'm still getting used to in my upgraded lifestyle: extra income and extra time. The first couple months of massively inflated salary coupled with living, essentially, rent-free for two months, led to huge amounts of impulse purchasing. I'm attempting to find the balancing point between over-spending and over-hoarding. Time wise, after the last four years I'm used to working at least three nights a week and every Saturday. Now I have evenings and weekends free, and being between shows leaves me with seven nights a week needing to be filled. Seven! I am but one man! Thankfully, what quality television doesn't fill tends to get claimed.

And perhaps the experiment shall claim some of these evenings. I guess we'll see... in time.

And that's the word.

I concurr about the not telling me. Now I'm forced to guess. Are you working out? On-line dating? Stripper-cize? Writing songs? Learning Spanish? Just going to strippers?

^^ I have already entertained the possibility of the first two. If you're just going to strippers I demand to be informed and invited.
