Seems that exercise can, in fact, energize you. I went from passing out on the couch to... well... being far more awake on the couch after just 30 minutes on my exercise bike. Although maintaining a top speed over 20 kph was slightly trickier than yesterday. But I managed it just the same.
you know when you last said "I love you?" Weird... at least it's somewhat positive. I am more of a "days since I was last told I'm loved" kinda guy. Way to have an internal locus of self-worth! You win the healthy person prize.

The show "the black donnelys" was ruined for me by actually knowing the story thereof (well, as interpreted in the play "sticks and stones"). Dark, dark dark.
Okay. Gonna write something cheerful this time. Here goes.
Finishing the last part of Sacrilicious is way harder than I want it to be. (Bad start on the cheerful...)
At the Gates? Best twenty minutes I've ever written and it took me an hour to do. Jesus Vs. Superman? Solid hilarity, took me most of a day. The third part? I am eating it,... Read More
Turns out I miss being wanted. No, that wasn't the big secret of my moody weekend, if anyone caught that post, just something that turned up during it.
It's not like I ever had to fend the ladies off or anything. Pretty sure the number of women who've ever wanted me is around 2, and one was the briefest of infatuations. But the other one... Read More
I know, I suck. I really didn't think the sushi would take that long. I was pretty sure you didn't like sushi, and the bbq bit was unexpected.
I don't know why my phone was on silent mode either. Possibly because I'm stoopid.
They were going to head home on Wednesday, but FP didn't have to work until later on Thursday and laziness won out in the end.
But tonight will include both food and bowling fun!
Did a script workshop last night. Many changes suggested. But that can't be it. I didn't expect it to be declared a masterpiece. Hell, part of me thought it'd go even worse. That potential exists, that it sparked that level of commentary should be enough. So that can't be it. Can it?
My laptop is the source of all my powers. It is how I write, how I connect to the internet, where all my work files live, and how I watch Rome on tropical islands during that quiet time between sunset and dinner. Without it, I can't do my job, access my email, read... Read More
I know how you feel. I live by my lap top. Its the only means of communication in some places the gov't sends me. Imagine my supprise when it died while I was in Quebec.....and I don't speak French
The first person to try eating lobster was hungry. But they're damned cool in the wild.
I honestly never get tired of being underwater. I went on 8 scuba dives on my trip (one of which was called off after 10 minutes due to wicked strong current), 4 to finish certification and 4 for kicks. Lots of fun. My mother had... Read More
1. The Pro-ana movement.
Anorexia is a lifestyle choice, not a disease? Fuck off! The "thinspiration" crowd is testing my belief in free speech, I tells you. And yet this movement sprung up in the country with the highest obesity rate. What do you do with that? Complain about obesity, which carries definite health risks, they throw eating... Read More
How have I not updated in so long, I wonder? Let's hit the highlights.
Dec. 30th at Suburbs
The Edmonton crew does know how to throw a party worth driving 3 hours to attend. I'd never been to Suburbs before, but I do occasionally enjoy a good goth bar night. Spent a chunk of the evening trying to figure out what zombie movie was playing... Read More
Friday night me, Michele, and AC rocked the Apocalypse Kow Kristmas Kabaret with my classic short play At the Gates. And let me tell you, the Kows are big enough laughers that it almost would've been worth it to do the show just for them. But the performance went great, the other acts were impressive, and the Kows were fun as always.
Conceivably doable. A bunch of us will be finishing up classes and starting exams then but that's really not that likely to stop us. Bring it up again closer to the date and I'll organise an outing.
I'm well behind on medical matters. I have health insurance now, even if I'm not sure where I left my card, and frankly I'm a little past due for a dentist check-up. And there's the other thing. I'm tired a lot. I get dizzy spells a lot. It worries me on occasion, and it may soon become incovenient to need to sit down and shut... Read More
Life has been hectic enough lately that I haven't been able to un-emo my journal. I spoke of needing a win last time: well, get comfy, there's much to report.
While my condo has been an almost immeasurable improvement over my old apartment, two things that have plagued me since I moved in. First, my TV signal has been staticy. Second,... Read More
There are times, gentle readers, when you simply need a win. My life has improved in many ways the last half-year, don't get me wrong, but there are times when stresses and disappointments build up to the point where what you truly need is some small victory to take the edge off it.
I think the boys think they're "encouraging" you. That enough repetitions of the same idea will make you mre comfortable with it, or something. When asked for my opinion, I agree that the idea is good in theory. However, pestering you about it doesn't strike me as a particularly good way to bring it about. As a consolation: remember, they're boys - they have very short attention spans.
