Hehe, i just got back from screaming my ass off in this enormous mob of people that flooded the streets when we found out that our votes actually worked! (i use the word "our" loosely ..i'm canadian i can't vote, but i can feel!) The entire student body hit the street running over cars and shit! we were a force to be reckond with! I mean Gahhhhhhhh!!!! there's a black president .. that's a big fucking deal. For the first time i was one of a few black student on campus than that didn't bother me one bit ... we were all revilling in the same victory!

This is glorious. Every black activist, every person before us who has lived in the fight and died for our better future. This is for them. THis is for us! May things only get better!

I'm sooo proud of america right now. I'm so optimistic.What has happend tonight isn't the change we have in store for us, but the enabler of change that is still to come. We have so much to do. So much to get done!
