Interesting Friday night. I headed down to the Steve Allen Theater in Hollywood and checked out Reanimator the musical. IT WAS FANTASTIC! Everything about it rocked. The actor were great, the singing was crisp and the SFX was in your face, literally. If your in the first two rows your guaranteed to get covered in fake blood. Twas a good time, met some cool people, particularly the two older ladies who had already seen it twice and said they would be back a fourth time. Those are some kick-ass grandmas. If your interested in going, the theater provides folks in the first 4 rows with garbage bag t-thirts to protect their clothes. Its hilarious, outrageous and in your face, a must see for all you SoCal people.
After that i shot over to the Nuart to see America Werewolf in London on the big screen. This movie scared the crap out of me when i was a little kid, and truth be told, with surround sound and a huge screen the attack scene on the moors still freaked me out! That howl just gets me! I wish hollywood would go backwards to more 80's style films and quit with all the CG. I personally find the old school effects alot more fun.
Who knows whats next on the menu for this weekend.
