as much as the footage from japan is horrible, i'm actually counting my blessings right now. i had a very good friend that had been in japan teaching english at a japanese high school for over 2 years, and she just came home for good a couple months ago. the boyfriend also has a college friend in the air force who is stationed in japan, and a lady i roomed with for 3 years in college lives in hawaii. despite all the destruction, i can't help but feel blessed that my loved ones are safe. which is a horrible thing, kinda, seeing as other peoples' loved ones aren't, but.......*shrug* i guess i'm horrible then
