Trying not to give in completely. I found a friend that is turning into so much more. I'm trying to avoid the same traps I've put myself in before. Namely: I'm trying to let go and see where things go. On the flip side: I'm staying cautious. Not getting so far beneath the waves that I can't recover should things not work out. I hate to be pessimistic, but I'd rather be prepared. Perhaps, preparedness is the bringer of misfortune.
I remember hearing a Radio commercial/PSA once on the power of Negative thinking. It followed the thought process that sometimes preparing for, and expecting, the worst possible outcome was fitting for so many more circumstances than we give credit. The main example he gave was seatbelts. We wear seatbelts when driving/passengering in cars, not only to save our lives, but others' lives as well. Some states even have laws requiring that not only does a vehicle need seatbelts, but the driver is responsible for every passenger in her car wearing theirs correctly. I take comfort in that thought as it is slightly reassuring that sometimes negative foresight is a very valuable thing.


Went to the local radio station, and picked up my tickets for Nine Inch Nails. I am now patiently waiting for the 17th of September. (dreamy-type sigh)
