As she lay in bed, eyes closed forcing herself off to the dreamworld; she saw the colors. Nothing vibrant, or even ostentatious in the least. Mere hints of color on the backs of her eyelids. She forgot about the world around her, and focused on those lights. It had been a rather confusing week, her own dilemmas mounting in the back of her mind. About ready to explode, she was waiting for some way to transcend parallel realities. It had occurred to her that this was it. She hadn't ever seen these colors before, and thought it may mean something. She pushed helrself towards that color which had oddly found it's way to her now, instead of so much earlier. Any time is better than never. She did the best she could to bring the colors closer to herself, and suddenly felt a peace within her heart. Had it worked? Had she actually escaped her problems in a way that any one else only dreams possible? She couldn't be sure, and instead of spoiling the thought with a bitter return to what she longed to stray from, she kept her eyes closed and easily wandered off to sleep with the thought of infinite possibilities to come.
