Raiding and posting at the same time weeee! Probably won't have much to say for awhile. Most of you are new to me.
There are a few things I can remember being raised on. Certain music and foods come to mind. Foods being Kix, cranberry juice, english muffins, blah blah blah. Music being The Beatles. Another thing I grew up with was old timey horror version of The Phantom of the Opera. Claude Reins style.
Some people love the Broadway show, some people hate it. So just as an fyi, this has nothing to do with the Broadway production. All of the music is pretty much recycled classical pieces. The following is Tchaikovsky I fell in love with when I was probably only 3 years old. A lot of classical buffs hate on this because it's so easy for the layman to connect with. I don't know what's wrong with that... I studied music for over 15 years. Roar. I still love it. Anyway this is a fantastic recording- the CSO and Barenboim fucking blow it out of the water. If you listen make sure you turn up the volume.
