Misery

Loneliness served on a rusted platter. I am not alive... I do not matter.
Empty heart and blackened soul. A hermit's misery... taken it's toll.
The fire within has been put out. The love and passion... long burned out.
Ice cold blood flows through these veins. Pain and suffering hold my reigns.
I'm out of touch, but not of mind. To love and caring.. I am blind.
Wanting more, yet recieving less. I have the right answers, but I am failing the test.
I've tried so hard, yet only lost out. Starting with love... ending with doubt.
The game is over, I've put in my time. I've sacrificed all, and it's lost every time.
So, as a lonely man, I'll live and breathe... and as a lonely man, this earth, I'll leave. ~ M.R.P.
