Well, folks, if you caught my reservations about Disney's production of Into the Woods, you will doubtless remember how I doubted their ability to not fuck things up. I spent nine fifty on the ticket (and the concession prices-- these guys could pay off the national debt from popcorn sales alone)... and can say that I was pleasantly surprised.

You should watch this.

Original broadway cast, c. 1991. The one with Bernadette Peters as the Witch. Stellar fucking cast and killer performances all around. You will not be disappointed.

Thanks for the tip, love Sondheim music & had a crush on Bernadette Peters for years, that sweet squeaky voice in Pink Cadillac. Typically though not available in UK ....$75 for BluRay import. Enjoy the première, Disney have improved  in the last couple years, should be good.

Watched my Lincoln Stars play their rivals, the Omaha Lancers tonight. First goal of the night by my boys: Waved. Off. Grr.

Piss-poor calls, all night long. Even the Lancer fans I was sitting with yelled at the refs for calls made against the Stars. That's how you know it's abysmal officiating. The loudest chant of the night: "Hey ref, you suck!"
