Growing up as fast as I did, I learned the hard way that if I didn't learn to be independent nothing would get done for me so I guess you could say in a sense that independence means survival to me. It's a technique for the broken to stay unbroken.
Being independent means something different to everyone. the dictionary def of independent that I'm going to emphasize on is the specific definition of "Independent business" because I'd like to apply it to humanity. The definition in which I'm talking about is "not influenced by the thought or action of others"
I chose this definition because people are too afraid to be their own person based on the opinions of others. Yeah you can go through life riding the opinions of others, dwelling on the freedom that everyone around you has instead of using it, as well, to your benefit. That's how, I feel, a majority of people live their lifes. Can you believe that one opinion of some random person you've never met before can ruin your day but have no effect on the owner of that opinion. OR It can do literally nothing and you can go about your day just like them.
Independence to me is caring so much about how your life is going that the lives of others do not effect your life or goals for your life is YOURS and literally only you can control it. No you can't control everything that happens to you but you can control how you react to it. Independently : I know how to handle this on my own or I will figure it out and learn something! Dependent : I need help dealing with this and I will hopefully know to learn from you!
My life has been a cluster fuck of figuring things out as is everyone in their life. I'm sorry I've been slacking on my blogs. I have 5 started ones that just lost their umph so I didn't want to finish them lol.
Hopefully now that I'm 25, I've unlocked some adulting techniques to help!
