it didn't rain today. this is reason enuf to exist. my friend was in town from va for a couple of days, very nice to be with her again. went into east oakland today and photographed some incredible graffiti, tribute and farewell pieces, memories, soon to be erased from public mind like so much that refuses to be consumed by group reality...
i have been reading anything i can get my hands on lately...true to my escapist nature...need-more-reading-material...

check out Gary Pullman's "The Golden Compass". its a trippy book, part of a trilogy that my best friend has read... he says it gets even trippier... im about 2/3 of the way through it, and i quite like it...

nah the only thing ive read by palinhuk thus far is "fight club", but i quite enjoyed it. i was at hastings looking through the books yesterday, and i saw this one called "tattooed girl" that i really wanted to read. its about some girl that is found in a city, in shock from something, and she has head to toe fish scale tattoos... and she dosent know how she got them... it sounds crazy.. i wanna check it out... it almost sounds like a feminist book, but id be willing to sit through that cause it sounds like its more than just that, and if its about a tattooed girl, how bad can it be?
yesterday was the last day at a job that sucked my balls...i am so relieved, although occasionally the sensation was pleasant. moving forward feels like walking through water, slow but soft, slightly shifting my equilibrium...
