Going to a baby luau tomorrow -- my cousin's daughter turns 1 and that's the loca reason to dig a pit, make kalua pork, have everyone bring bamboocha pupus fo' eat and just hang out with more relatives than anyone on the mainland can imagine.
Seriously. I work with a woman who moved here from New Jersey about 5 years ago and she thinks she has a big family back home because they get 15 people together for Thanksgiving.
Tomorrow, I will probably have to say hi to at least 100 uncles, aunties and cousins.

I'm sure I will, there's no where else to get Poi. And I love me some poi. But I have to go to Waikiki, and I hate that it's so touristy.
