Back in NJ
The Reunion has come to its conclusion. Folks have head home and hopefully we will all keep in better touch. Myspace.com has helped a lot with that already. I was awful before. Writing letters and sending them snail mail was just something I could not get motivated to do. With the Internet, we can easily send quick notes and keep in touch so much easier.
The Formal dinner was great. The music was pretty good but my tastes have changed with the times and they played a lot of older stuff. I am all for the nostalgia of it, but frankly just like listening to the more current stuff. Not to mention my taste in music is probably a little more edgy than most of my former classmates. =) Of course I know of one that went to the Marilyn Manson concert while they were there. That rocks! Also, Incubus was playing a concert right next to where our party was located. I sort of wanted to take a few minutes and jump over to that concert! LOL Turns out the band members were even staying where I was. Sort of cool. Anyway it was a terrific time and I have pictures posted from that night.
It is good to be back though. Yesterday was my first day back at work and I had meetings with two of my directors, both of which were positive. I am talking to one of them about a promotion that I might be interested in, assuming they want me for it. He is willing to talk to me about it, so I guess he would consider me. The huge thing though is it is a night time job. I worked nights for over a year when I first started and while I like working nights in theory, it was hell on my social life. So I am sort of torn between my ambition and desire to challenge myself and having time with friends and trying to meet someone and end my long reign of bachelorhood.
