Reunion has started!
Last night we all met up at our school and started to get re-acquainted. It went very well and I saw people that I remembered and many that I hardly remembered. Of course there were those that I never met while I was in school. After some pictures in the gym and a tour around the school, we retired to a local sports bar to socialize and get wasted. =) I am not a big drinker, so I had my two Guinness and then soda or water the rest of the night. I have been drunk one to many times never again!
My voice is shot from all the talking last night. I was able to catch up with one of my best friends from school. Everyone looked terrific. It was surreal being with folks that I had not seen in 20 years. There were a couple of folks that I had hoped to see that were not there. One was a casual friend that lived around the corner from me and the other was a girl that had been a good friend. There were a few others too, but I sort of expected them not to be there.
I also was able to reconnect with a girl that I knew in junior high that I simply did not remember. She changed schools two years after we started high school. I am very impressed she remembered me and I feel very guilty that I did not remember her
Tonight is the semi-formal dinner. It should be a blast with a DJ and dancing. I just hope they don't play all 80s music because I like the modern stuff a lot more. LOL
