I've been thinking about creating a serious blog focused on weight loss. I've been "thinking" about losing the excess weight for a few years now, looking at "before and after" forums, and realizing that people twice my weight can become the weight they want. Frankly, it's not about being a specific size, it's about health. It's about getting winded running after my child, or carrying her the LONG flight of stairs to her "kindermuzik" class. It's about wanting to become a runner, and yoga lover, and delving deeper into vegan living.

I have issues with motivation, and with being lazy.

I anticipate posting photos monthly, regardless of whether I've lost, gained, or stayed the same weight.

That being said, I would LOVE your tips SG-land for weight loss. Healthy weight loss, not magic drinks, pills, potions, or the latest herbal fix. I anticipate it's going to take between a year or two considering that I'd like to lose over a hundred pounds.

Any suggestions? Anyone want to be my weight loss buddy (ultimately kicking my ass into shape)?

XO

you're off to a good start trying to do it the right way! There are no miracles, just consistant effort and you will reach your goals. Yoga is a great way to start as well. There are also several apps out there that will help you keep track of what you eat, how many calories, etc as well as what you burn when you exercise. My fitness pal is one I've used on android, but there are others as well and for iphone. I have managed a gym for many years, so if you have any questions at all at any time, please don't hesitate to ask. Good luck!smile

Super Rad! I would love to be in on this with you lady!

When I started running in high school I found it much easier to want to run everyday...the first maybe 2-3 days suck since you'll be sore as shit it places you never imagined but after that it's smooth sailing. You will also find you have the energy to want to do it and you will feel so happy and good feeling, some people even glow a bit ^^

Now Yoga is a bit harder since the stretching doesn't happen as quick as everything else...it has to be an every day thing for a little bit just so your body can get used to all the different stretching ways...and again it will hurt for a couple days I found mostly in my butt ^^ I hope this doesn't scare you at all telling you these things :S

I hope you do well and I love helping people get inspired so if you need a little boost I will definitely BOOST your spirit and mind ^^
