the on;y way i can think of off hand that weather can be offensive is being glad about all the recent natural disasters- and making comments as such lol ( ps- i'm not personally glad- i'm just brainstorming her-- pun intended...lol i crack myself up lol)
if you care about the answer i have for my own question, it is: weather ( at least for people of the same region at the same time) is a unifying variable! we all experience it, we all deal with it, are affected by it, and it's nutral ( how in gods name do you spell that?) since it's nobodyy's fault. you

i just wish there was something more interesting to talk about than the weather to unite two people that are filling in conversational space!!
