On Tuesday I actually went and got myself my very own sponsor. I had a temporary one while I was at S.C.I.-Pittsburgh, but that was over last May. I've been home from prison one full month today, and just got my sponsor two days ago. After that traumatic episode Monday night, I couldn't procrastinate any longer. Also, I finally got a job. A guy I met through the NA rooms hooked me up. It's a local pizzeria and I'm one of the cooks. Last night was my first day, and my skills at actually tossing a pie are tragic. They come out looking football shaped. But I'll get better. Start off making $8 an hour, which is slightly above minimum wage. But I love the schedule, the people are nice and very understanding, and I think I'll have fun there. At least it's something for a few months where I can save money to get the hell out of this halfway house.
