Actually, I try to avoid working on other people's vehicles when I'm not at work as much as possible.

The only shops I'm really familiar with are all around me in the NW suburbs, or Ford Dealers.

Try to avoid chain stores - I hear horror stories, although I guess a redneck-ass independent shop could be even worse. Sorry I'm not more help.
