Now I've found out that my brother's Guard unit is being activated in the next couple of months. My mother was crying when she left me the messege. I'm not getting along with my mother very well right now anyway, and this just makes me feel worse. Like I'm an even worse son for being so distant and unavailable to comfort her. Sucks.

Only the first 'Star Wars' short has come out -- the animation is great, but five minutes go by so fast that you barely get an inkling of what's to come. I think you can check it out on the cartoon network site. I'm looking forward to seeing all of them as a whole.

It's always the worst when a close friend or relative is deployed to a risky situation, regardless of how you feel about the war/reconstruction. The best thing you can do for him will be to write and keep a constant correspondence. Let him know his friends are thinking about him.

All I can really say is -- I understand and hope that all ends well.
