Why isn't this bigger news? I know there are other conservative candidates who have said worse, too.

The Conservatives have done a pretty decent job of keeping a muzzle on the radical right wing of their party. But, they can't stay shut up forever. The gag is starting to slip a bit, me'thinks! Plenty of time to self-destruct...

I went on a little Transit Adventure today - to the Canadian Tire near Bessarion Station. It was my first time actually riding the Sheppard line. I've never had a reason to, before. The subway is running for about three more hours. I feel like I should go somewhere to inaugurate this new Metropass! Or just ride around for a while.

Instead I'll probably drink wine and watch the Firefly DVDs.

oh my goodness have i ever been sleeping! i have no problem with jetlag when i go east to west. but going west to east, my sleep pattern gets all sorts of fucked up.

Today I felt like a serious yuppie. Suit, tie, overcoat, nice scarf, shiny shoes - getting off at Yonge and Eglinton.

What's weird is how comfortable that felt.

When there's no other noise in the apartment, no tv, walking, radio, I can just barely hear the subways rumble by below me.

Its actually sort of comforting. It's a deep guttural rumble at the edge of hearing. It's almost subsonic, and very pretty.

A reminder that there's life out there.

As I sit among the disassembled furniture and boxes full of books that litter my room, I have only one regret about leaving Guelph.

I should have rented a bigger truck.
