So, Alexander... eh, 'twas okay. From what I can discern, as long as you don't listen to the Bible-thumping retards who deny that bisexuality ran amuck in ancient Greek culture, it was pretty historically accurate. The only major Hollywood-induced variant that I'm aware of was the final battle with the Indians and how that turned out--but then again, that was already 2 and a half hours into the movie, so perhaps just ending it abruptly was wise.

That brings up my only major complaint about the movie, a complaint that you will almost never hear me saying about a movie: it was too goddamn long. This coming from the person who has every intention of sitting down and watching all three extended edition LotR movies back to back to back in one sitting. You could tell exactly when this movie lost it--my friend Mike and I both looked at our watches at the same time, then looked around the theater to find everyone else doing the same thing.
