Today's stats:
Amount of time spent in class: 2.5 hours
Amount of time spent in a meeting: just under 1 hour
Amount of time spent in the research lab: 8 hours (spent the last hour and a half, from 10:30 to midnight, bullshitting with Jay and Ken though)

Most enjoyable time spent today: the vast majority of the 8 hours in lab


Also, Professor Zuman is the man. He's older than the hills (and trust me, the hills in this area are freakin' old), and the class he's teaching is on a topic that he's literally been doing research in for damn near 60 years, for which the man he was working for won a Nobel Prize. Now that his ex-advisor isn't exactly around anymore, it's pretty safe to say that he knows more about this subject than any person on the face of the planet. And ya know what the best part of that is? To this day, he cares far more about every one of his students than he does for the research that he's supported his career with (because his true profession, what really runs through his blood, is teaching). Not to mention the fact that he's a genuinely nice (and FUN!) guy.

I want to be like him when I grow up.
