I now officially work in the biggest CMP lab in the world.
Not only that, but one of the two people who built it from the ground up more or less told me yesterday that he wants me to take over his research when he leaves.
Of course, this all comes at a cost. I spent from 6:30pm until 10pm last night between the group meeting and learning some stuff, then from 9:30am to 2:30pm (minus an hour or so for lunch), and I'm going back at 8:30 this evening. We already have several Saturdays of work and/or training planned, etc.
Between that, being a TA, mentoring for forensics, and taking 18 hours of classes, I should see if I can just set up a cot in the science center and not even go back to my room for days at a time.

Congratulations though, sounds like you're moving into a pretty prestigious position. It will be well worth it in the end.
