Went to see Cruxshadows tonight, among others. They put on a great show, I have to say. Rogue is a born performer. He also has a minor obsession with climbing on things--I was pretty impressed that he was able to satisfy this need in such a small venue, but he did. Occassionally having to duck so his head (and hair!) wouldn't be through the ceiling though. He also tends to spend a lot of time out in the crowd, which is always fun, especially when he starts randomly dancing with people. Found out after the show that he's a really nice guy, too. Very huggy. Last note about them: it's amazing what adding a violin can do for that genre. I know, I know, I say that about most genres, but they really make it work fantastically.

Even met some new people! Something desperately needed in this city which I used to know, but find that I don't at all anymore. It's amazing how I can look around and see so many things I feel like I know, yet take a second look and realize that the people are all different and I know effectively nothing.

In other news, the job search continues. Anything from a lab tech to a manager at a local Gamestop (ironically, the former lab bitch position pays 2-3 times as much as the managerial position at Gamestop) is currently on the table. It's frustrating when there's not very much open in your field, yet you're way overqualified for random other jobs you could do in the meantime. Oh well, c'est la vie.
