Fate or destiny.
Close to the same thing, they are. I don't believe in either. I don't believ that things will always work out. I don't think everything happens for a reason. I am not blinded by false hope that maybe something great and special will come out of a shitty situation. Most times when things suck, its my fault, and they will end up in losing something. Nothing good comes out of that bullshit. We all make choices and the choices we make create what happens, not some unseen force. Destiny? Sorry, but its pure bullshit.

but i would really like to believe in tiny, sentient beings that are miniature, cartoon versions of myself and sit on my shoulder, whispering things like, "devour that small child" and "stab that kitten in the throat". i'd like to think they look like gorgons. or humanoid hyena creatures. or banana slugs. yeah, that would be cool.
