Damn I wished I stayed up last night to watch the rowing finals in the Olympics. The US men won gold and the US women pulled out a silver. The men have not won gold since '64. They had a poor showing in teh World Cup, but Mike Teti pulled them together and finally won Gold. SUPERFANTASTIQUE!
The women won their World Cup stops and qualified right to finals early in the Olympics, but were defeted by the Romainians(sp)(?) and got the silver.
I am so damn proud of them. Some from each 8 I am proud to call friend.
Now I hope that they show it in prime time tonight.
Went to Martini Blu last night with the Goddess for dinner. The DJ was great when we got there, but after he left for The King and I, this chick started spinning and the vibe went from a Great Chill to bad wedding.(I was expecting the "Chicken Dance") Amazing how the DJ sets the mood and either keeps people in the bar and drinking or running for the door.

I have really enjoyed watching the Olympics on t.v. for the first time this year. It is funny how stuff hits you. I really liked everything I saw.
