Family in town. Glad to get a break from the daily grind.
It was 50* yesterday, February in Minnesota ain't bad. I have to admit that I wish the snow was not melting. Spring Conditions in Feb. who'd a thunk it.
Going over to Madison, WI this weekend. Neither looking forward to the drive nor the company, kind of have a bad taste in my mouth about this one. My in-laws are going to be in Madison for my Sister-in-law's Defense (Ph.D. Thing). The Sister invited us to come then called us and said she didn't want us to share in her graduation. The in-laws are coming in on Saturday afternoon. The way I see it, they could have come in Friday or at the worst Sat early if they wanted to see us. What burns me the most is that they don't seem to ever be making an effort to see their only Grandson. Hell, my parents come out every chance they get. But the Goddess's parents only seem to show up when obligated. Don't get it. I don't want to drive 10 hours (round trip) to spend 8 hours with them.
Fuck, we can drop a Grand to go to Vegas for a fucking long weekend to celebrate the Goddesses Grandmother's 80 th, but her parents can't bring themselves to visit us for Easter. What the fuck is a 2 year old going to do in Vegas? Guess Daddy and the kid will be sitting by the pool of a cheep ass hotel. Fuck yea. Can't wait for that one!

you just have to do this for the goddess , which i know is why you are doing it. they are missing out on getting to know your precious little boy, their loss. besides, do you really want the attitude they express to rub off on him?
