Got back from the East coast late Monday night. We left the parents @ 11:00 am and did not hit our casa until 9:30 pm. Damn long day. Too many delays.

Got some surfing in with my brother and friends. Waves were small but fun. Went out to dinner with friends and then to a bar we all use to hang out in during our Philly days. Made me feel really old.

During my travels on Friday I saw a lot of "FUR IS DEAD" protesting going on. Why do they go after furriers? Why don't they also go after shoe stores, Wilson Leather.... Yes the fur animals are bred for the soul purpose of being made into coats, but much of the carcass is then sent to pig farms and in some countries are a base ingredient in dog food. So how is this different from the Leather industry?

Hell we don't need fur, or leather with all the petroleum based fabrics and insulation. We don't need leather for shoes... Why do they single out the fur industry in their leather Doc Martins and Berkinstocks?

Hell it must be jealousy. Work hard, and some day, you too may be able to afford a nice mink coat.

Guess I was just a little put out when the folks blocked traffic.
