So I always see those Anti-Tobacco ads on the TV and it gets me wondering was Joe Camel really directed toward youth? I think not. I saw all the ads in my youth and teens and have to say that they did not make me want to smoke. Peer pressure may have, but not with me. I had one cigarette in my life (well not a whole one) to mask the smell of alcohol after a party that got busted by the PoPo. They set up a sobriety check down the only street out of the neighborhood.
Well I don't think smoking is the problem, but Fast Food, yeah Fast Food is. All commercials are directed toward kids, heck they even give out toys with purchase. If anything should be regulated it's fast food commercials. As a fat fuck I can speak from experience. I think there are many more people dying from obesity (sp) issues than smoking.
Why isn't the "Truth" going after them?
BTW, what the fuck is that "Popper" commercial all about? The one where all the people pop bubble wrap, then you get the TM or TH or something lake that. Boy, if I smoked, I sure would quit after I saw that.
When all is said and done, I think that you should be allowed to do what you want, but you have to deal with the consequences yourself. You fuck up, deal with it, don't sue Tobacco, Fast Food, Gun Manufactures... Don't ask me (as a taxpayer) to foot the bill for your rehab, AIDS cocktail, or anything else. You chose your path you deal with it.
