Today is the start of the Bath International Music Festival.
That means there is lots of international music in town for the next few weeks, anything you could possibly think of is probably here somewhere. We are talking regional/ethnic type music mind you, there won't be any punk rock from Peru.
The opening night celebrations usually start with a big party in the park.
There will be a mixture of all sorts of people attending, from pissed up under age chavs to the extremely posh, it's quite interesting to observe.
The night culminates with a huge firework display, which is easily as big as the cities Guy Fawkes display.
If nothing else, I'll go and catch the fireworks with some friends.
We like a firework or two.
It's been raining all afternoon, so that'll probably dampen down the party spirits a bit. I can't see many people out with the ol' picnic hampers this evening.
Next weekend is the start of the Fringe Festival, that's when things get a bit more interesting.

It seems as though the huge company I work for (Who'll remain nameless as I may not get any bonus if I name and shame them ...) will pay me and the rest of the people next month. I suppose the next time I go into the bank and pay some money in I could always try the "I'm paying in 5000 today but really it's 10,000, credit me the 10k and I'll give you the other 5k next month ...."
BTW My bonus wasn't 10k
Yep, I've split with Rachel, it wasn't ever going to work, maybe the initial meeting and the 'having fun' (wink wink ... nudge nudge ..) was good, but life never stays like that, especially when there's kids ... whoever invented kids?
