Weekend was like:
Watching amazing film shorts @ the res fest
and watching more.
Surf aaaalllllll daaaaaayyyyy lllloooooonnnngg on sat up in Northern Cali ...well not that far north of San Fran. Cleared the ol' noggin for sure. But I get a little nervous sharing the waters were great whites feed, especially when ya have seals swimming around ya out in the water, cute!, but prey, which makes me pray that I'm not mistaken for breakfast, lucn or dinner. Anyhow, who gives a shit, you only live once, and I would'nt trade it for nuthin'. It was a kickass day, and the surf n suncould'nt have been more giving.
Sunday brought some indian summer to the bay and we SanFraciscans deserve it for sure; being that we've been living in the grey for 3 months straight. Sheeeesh! Had a little propin to do in the morning. Nipped that quick in the butt to enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Good day for just chillin and makin amends on the phone on a sunny back porch and oh yeah saw another amazing doc. @ the res fest sunday afternoon called GINGA "The Soul of Brazilian Football"; this movie really captured the spirit of the game, told from the perspective of young players focused to be pros someday. The music was a major drive of the film. It almost made ya feel you were watching a mix tape come alive with such passion and vigor for a sport made for a culture of rythm and motion. These kids had skills. The NBA ain't got nuthin' on their footwork....nuuuthin!
Finished off the evening with a little BBQ celebratin' the completion of a mural my good friend Pnut just finished for bar in the marina of all places ; got a little buzzed and poked fun at yuppies......how fun is that. All in all it was just what the doc ordered.
Now I just got to get my prescription refill for next weekend.
