Wow! What a crazy week. I wish I could've stayed in San Miguel a few extra days. The place is beautiful. San Miguel de Allende, as it's properly called, is well preserved in time. So much, the coloniel heritage banned any new style construction, neon signs, or other nasty heralds of "modernization". It really takes you back in time. Romantic indeed.
My time spent seemed so surreal and short. I absorbed every moment and plan to spend alot more time down there. Possibly even for months on end. The place is magical, and even more so to spend it with someone who makes every moment of my life seem worthwhile. With amazing authentic mexican family dinners at night under candel light, to drunk mezcal heated debates into the early morn. long walks into the hills looking over one of the most beutiful towns in Mexico....well I think I've found my secound home. I left my soul still wandering the streets of San Miguel as I write this.
I hit the ground running coming back to SF. I'm taking this week off as well to entertain visiting friends from all over the joint, plus my soul mate came up from San Miguel the day after I left, to spend time in SF with friends as well. Its gonna be a intense week for sure.....but a fun one eh?
I'm kinda overwhemled at the moment, but in a good way.
