got the Jayne and Inara covers of Serenity, finally. apparently Golden Age didn't even get the third cover with their order. bah.
also picked up issue 2 of Homeland (yes, that Homeland... it's Drizzt in comic book form, exclamation, exclamation, one). i don't know how issue one managed to come out without me hearing about and subsequently purchasing it but it will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine.
there was a zero issue of a new Red Sonja series too, for a mere twenty five cents. how can you say no to a chainmail bikini for the price of a shopping cart? apparently issue 1 has already come and gone from the shelves of Golden Age, but no matter, i'm sure it'll get a reprint soon.
in other news, work, warcraft, blah blah blah the usual. things are stupidly busy (again) at work, but that's a long and mildly annoying story. i've been running UBRS, Strat, and Scholo all weekend, trying to muscle through level 59... halfway to 60. so close. sooooo close.
if you'll excuse me though, i have to go make a dish involving chickpeas.
update: quote of the night from the fireworks: "animosity is the spice of life... at least if you're German."
