by the time i stumbled out of the kitchen with some oatmeal and realized it was already twenty to nine, i knew it was going to be one of those days. the monday after a long weekend at the end of the month should have some kind of warning label. to whit:

i forgot to pay rent on friday, so i had to take time to do that. forgot to get a new bus pass (i realized this just as the bus pulled up when i was already late, naturally) so i had to go buy a coffee, spill it a bit, burn my tongue, then give up and throw it out - all so that i could get some change for the next bus.

new phone line still isn't on, cell phone is still in missing in action, cable connection is still completely fucked.

holy chaos. if i hadn't gotten a ton of cleaning done while the internet was down, the weekend would have been a stinking pile of bestial disorganization.
