UPDATE: as of february 14 i'll be a full-time employee of a wicked Java/XML portal developer. woo. go me. also of note is the hotness.
holy shit, four days without the internet makes you crazy.
- settling into the new place. not many places to sit, but it's got some damn fine character
- contract work is picking up again. i like that. i like money.
- just sold my turntables and mixer to a friend. i'm sad, but whatever, i'll buy a new setup later on. i hadn't used the damn things in six months anyways.
- got a call from the second job place about my interview last week. they want more references. so i gave them three more, greedy bastards, and hopefully i'll get another call saying "hey you absolutely aced the xml/xslt test we gave you, come work for us and learn neat java tricks for money".
- no food. no food at all. very hungry. gotta go grocery shopping.
- an old friend is going to be in town this weekend. he's the guy who got me my first dotcom job out on the island. holy memories... here i am hustling the 'commies again, five years later. madness.
- Ruby on Rails is pure ownination. with a bit of mod_rewrite hacking you can do away with its stupid vhost config method and have a dev platform going like nobody's business.
- JPSPAN boggles my mind. boggles it. PHP methods called through JS on the client by way of XMLHttpRequests. the force is strong in this one.
- again: no food, very hungry. time to go shopping. right now. ok maybe not right now, but soon.
