so it's going to be a geeky update, who'd have guessed - a nerdy post from me.

the Poshest just logged into Shaw Cable's site with the login/pass from an email account i made for that exact purpose. she clicked through a few links, and BAM, a Blondie video is playing on our tv. it's one of those moments where you think damn, it works. it actually works. all the ridiculous things that geeks have been thinking up for the past fifty years are actually starting to work. our four computers aren't just networked, no, they're connected to a WAN that spans the whole damn globe, and through it we can access a system that sends video to our tv whenever we damn well please. if you take a second to think about it, that's pretty seriously fucking cool. the future is now.

note: i still hate Shaw.
