UPDATE: i was going to rant on about how this 40-something wannabe designer got stuck in our office a few days a week, but was overcome (as you can see below). now, i MUST talk about her. you see, she just complained about the music we play in the office (as a point of reference, one of our bosses had Liquid Swords on in his truck when he picked us up this morning). her exact words, i shit you not: "can you bring headphones? the music is annoying... it's not even music, it's just a back and forth beat. it's annoying". you heard it here first kids, drum n bass is not music. i tried to say something, but couldn't. i'm still fighting a giggle fit that could seriously undermine my credibility as a hardass junglist
so to make a long and gushy story short, life is good. read on for rambling...
today was our first payday at the new and ridiculously awesome job. things are shaping up... we're damn near definite on a contract with a major LA agency (not SG, heh) that can't yet be publicly named as a client. so here we are, celebrating the radness that is life with a spanking new ps2 and soul calibur 2 - which she can hold her goddamn own at, christ almighty i have to earn my wins at that game. it's almost as bad as Gran Turismo 3... i'm awfully used to losing at that one. except for rallies. i do so pwn at teh rallying.
anyways, the key to our first payday: wine and pizza. yes, truly refined individuals we are. i went for a fairly new winery that proved itself with a pinot meunier that tastes like raspberries... damn the reds though. we're forced to drink them at work, so i went with white... enter pinot auxerrois, the wine version of slurpee syrup. apparently veggie burgers go well with sweet whites, so onward comes the soy pepperoni pizza. holy bastardization of cultures: wine made in the okanagan mixed with italian food with quebecois soy meat on it.
ain't life strange? on that note, back to the wine and the girl from toronto.
