today i completely rebuilt the living room computer, messed around with the fresh freebsd install on my now dual-booting main box, and played some ffxi with dearest little (eight foot tall) Posh. i feel sufficiently geeky. my work here is done.
it's not actually done... i still have to poke around in the guts of this here computer and replace a nic that doesn't want to play nicely with bsd, as well as fiddle with an old pci gpu and see if i can run two monitors off my ge4 and ye olde hunk of pci crap. but all of that is for the morrow. right now i have pressing business to attend to - when someone stays up till quarter to five in the morning in their timezone just to talk to you, it's pretty much a given that you should lavish attention on them

eventually, after tearing my room apart, iw as satisfied, that they were not actual spiders. so i slept.
about 5 times during that night i awoke to the feeling of spiders, and to seeing them flee.....end of story..i go zero sleep, b/c i was up most of the night searching to destroy them.
today, i am way beyond tired. it is like, i am actually dead, as i feel as such..and all b/c of these episodes.
i ahve come to the conclusion that either, these evel thigns are living behind a tiny centimetre gap between my bed and my wall, or, that i was hallucinating the entire night.
either way, it enables me to ramble, and gulp my water and listen to old old reggae and curse myself for fearing 8 legged fiends so.
