been pretty busy, poor neglected sg journal... oh how it languishes. someone should write an emo song for it.
today is a lunch-and-learn for all the new features being built for The Big Client of Doom. should be pretty badass... the senior devs have been going nuts for the past few months getting all this stuff ready. the 5.0 release is likely going to be a very different animal from the 4-point releases we're building from right now.
not that you care about that right? right. well i hate to break it to you, dear reader, but there's not much else going on in my life right now. i hang out with the nelson park crew, i play warcraft, and i talk to L. it's not terribly exciting, but after september's relentless debauchery i think a month or two of saving money and braincells might be good anyways. besides, between the three activities mentioned above and work, i'm pretty content.
edit. i forgot to add: my dad sent me an email about how he bought the first season of MacGyver the other day and has been reminiscing about how much he loved watching that show while recovering from his knee surgery back in the day. what the fuck? how did i manage to go twenty-three years without knowing that my favorite show ever is also one of my dad's favorites? jesus, holy missed bonding opportunity. when i finally visit him in china we're going to have to build bomb defusal kits out of gum and string, then grow wicked blonde mullets together.
