I've been spending quite a bit of time surfingGaia Online lately. It's a great forum site with a kicking avatar system, and a lively RPG discussion. Anyone out that way can find me around as "Verityn". I'm using their Gaming forum as a way to further develop the d20 campaign I'm designing.

Not much to report today. I've been enjoying the company of the wife and daughter this weekend thanks to a light workload for me and the wife. We went to see Sue yesterday, whose currently on tour at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. I saw the massive T-rex in Chicago as well, but it's still damn cool. I actually find fully...

Yeah, exactly. I use the library all the time for DVDs...I prefer not to take chances with my rental dollars

Critters 2 and 3 are way worse. I some how found myself watching a marathon of the whole series on sci-fi. That was a waste of a good night.

I watched Star Wars Episode III just over 24 hours ago and all I can say is "Wow." Any childhood left in me died in that movie as I think it did for many of us Gen Xers.
The movie's harsh. Way harsh. This does for Star Wars what Schindler's List did for WWII. It's unbelievable how brutal Lucas can make a PG-13 film....

Haven't seen it yet so I can't comment on the violence of the film. The parents who took/take there kids to see the movie, despite all the warnings, are the same parents who let video games and tv babysit their children. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with video games or tv. When it becomes the parent and babysitter do I think there is a problem.

Damn I haven't seen it yet but I probably won't understand it since I have only seen the first movie that was made and I can't even remember what happened in that movie.....am I the only one?

I'll be disappearing for the next 24 hours or so, as I'm going to see Episode III in Des Moine with my wife, darkstryder, and several of our friends. Wish us luck on the drive, and I'll be sure to let you all know how kick ass the movie proves after seeing it.

New pic in preparation for Thursday at 12:01 a.m. I'm giddy with anticipation. Here's hoping Grievous is every bit as cool in the movie as he was in Clone Wars volume 2.
Otherwise, not too much to report. Light work week, so that should be nice, otherwise I'm just working on writing some more and getting Pulp Empire and the Pulp Stories Monthly e-magazine...

Ha! I got this update online in time to avoid any kickings! Which proves doubly impressive when you consider that my knee is majorly fucked up, making it hell to negotiate the stairs to the basement and this computer.
Week 2's debut at Metahuman Press is Temple by the excellent Frank Byrns. Byrns is a great writer, and brings a little bit of extra...

Yeah, so I suck at the whole "updating frequently" thing.
Hella weekend. Between my kid, spring cleaning, Mother's Day, and two overnights at burger hell, it seemed a bit busy. Just got to hold out until Wednesday and I get another day off.
Something new I'm working on with a couple friends/colleagues: Metahuman Press. It's a series of superhero novels and short stories...

Family Guy (along with American Dad) is back, and I tell you I couldn't be happier. Freakin' awesome to say the least. Between the list of cancelled Fox shows to the extraordinary cameo by Flint made it just as good as its original incarnation.
Went to a really shabby local circus with my wife, my daughter and my nieces this weekend. Rather amusing,...

In an attempt to update more frequently than just once a week, I have returned, after only 4 days! Yeah, me!
Not too much to report. Been on bit of an anime kick this week since I've got extra viewing time, as my kid's visiting Grandma. Thanks, Mom!
Seriously, though, I've went through Darkstalkers and Perfect Blue already, and I've got Street Fighter II...

Woops, went a whole week there without updating, and sadly enough only got three comments. Where's the love, y'all?
Seriously, though, I've been busy with projects of late on ye old web site. I'm trying to put together a new superhero fiction page to replace the recently completed Champion City, but have only managed to get started writing the first chapter. I'll...
