cleansing pt. IV~or~ MMM BRAINS!

So. I'm still taking/eating everything i've listed in the previous blogs. Everything's working great. Sometimes I'll take a few days off and indulge in things like cake and sugary things...but for the most part i'm not really craving anymore junk at all. It's amazing how much I never acknowledged how much of what I put into my body affects the entire chemistry of my body and more importantly, my brain. I've noticed a huge transformation in my mental state. I'm having way more coherent, linear thoughts and am able to retain a lot more it seems. And a better attention span. A good motivational visual aid i've been using through all this is to just think of all my guts in a big vat, including my brain; they're all swimming in the same liquid. Then i'll imagine pouring what i'm eating into the vat. So before I eat, I think, would I pour this on my brain? Like, I would never pour diet coke on my brain. Or put a taco bell burrito in that vat. Ugh. BTW I just read an article on artificial sweeteners and how when fed to lab rats, they have an even HIGHER propensity to gain weight! WTF. Diet is even worse than sugared cola? Jesus. It's amazing how little the people selling you this shit want you to know. The modus operandi of the food industry in the US has always been 'it's safe till proven dangerous', after all. So yeah. No wonder every few years we're told to stop eating something that's just now been proven 'dangerous' but has been out on the market for years, like trans-fats and olestra. WTF.

Anyways. Brain cleansing. I recently told a friend I did some LSD over the weekend and she got really confused how I could be doing a cleanse AND do LSD. I think LSD&mushrooms can be a terrific brain cleaner/refresher if you do them at the right time and the right place, and at the right dosage. Problem is, most people treat it like a drug(including the US government, who actually puts it in the same class of drugs as heroin, WTF!). And if you treat it like a drug--that is, if you take it to get high and to escape the world--then you're in for a shock. Unlike alcohol, which for some reason is legal, LSD/mushrooms make you think MORE instead of LESS. This is why the kind of people who seek it out as an escape have such bad trips, they're getting a more vivid view of what they're escaping from, which in a lot of cases can be horrifying. Hence all the bad coverage. But if you know what to expect, and use it to overcome those things, then it can be amazing, and it has been for me. It's like meditation and 50 therapy sessions all rolled into one. It takes me out of my brain and helps me escape my ego to realize that everything I identify as 'me' is just shaped out of a bunch of fears, habits, and experiences that were a lot of time beyond my control. Sounds like a mundane realization but what really happens is you face it, and stop taking it so personally, so you can move on. And I also realize that the fabric of my brain--my emotions, my feelings, etc--are really just chemical reactions that I really CAN have control over. Which brought me back to why it's important what goes into my body, because what goes into my body, goes into my brain. It also makes how I relate to the world more flexible, which for me, is a lot more comforting than the world being a solid thing that I have definite feelings about. After all, change is good.

Also i've been taking more supplements. I've been doing a trial of this supplement called Focus Formula. It has DHA, Huperzine-A, and Vinpocetine, all of which are supposed to help bloodflow to your brain. Who knows though, worth a try! I know, i've been taking a lot of supplements and you're probably worried about me! Don't worry though. Once i'm done with this supplement binge i'll just keep taking the ones that I found to be effective. And don't worry, i'll report back biggrin

Also in other news, I have some photo lights on order that should arrive on Friday which means i'll be shooting a lot more! So keep bugging me about shooting please!
