WOW i had a GREAT night last night.
Every Tuesday during the summer in chicago. They have Movies In The Park in the park downtown. They play lots of classics and modern classics.
Last night was THE BLUES BROTHERS. OMG i had such a great time. My mom volunteers at the Chicago International Hostel and she takes them to the movies on tuesdays so i got to hang out with alot of awesome people. The movie kicked ass.... and then it started raining. Now many people would just leave. Not us hell not i would say 75% of the people there. We danced and partied and watched the rest of the movie in pouring rain.
Great fun

So as for the topic of the last journal. I have had the opportunity to listen to a hand full of TOOL songs, In an effort to open my musical horizons, and honestly... I find it a bit.... boring and monotoned. All the songs i heard all sounded much the same. Even when its "heavy" it still sounds like the softer songs. I almost felt like i was falling asleep listening to them.
I also reallised who or should i say what Maynard James Keenan reminds me of. He reminds me of those over pretentious, self important self centered pricks that go to poetry Jam Beats at local Coffee shops and read their horrid Poetry to everyone with shitty little Bongo drums and complain about how no one understands them and that their poetry is SOOOO deep and meaningful. More so of course than anyone else there that read. I used to have "friends" ( i use that term with them loosely) that did that and they all talked and acted much like i have seen of him when i have seen interviews with him ( i like APC alot so i have watched interviews with him before). His lyrics also much remind me of some of the old poetry that they wrote.

Sorry I have to completely disagree with you, for one I'm a poet and for 2 his lyrics are amazing, you sound like my mom when she talks about stuff she doesn't understand, to her everything she doesn't like sounds the same. There not even one of my favorite bands and I can see how ahead of there time they are.
Have you even seen his interviews on SG? He is really fun and can be a real goof ball. But you know he is a member of SG so you can go tell him that he sucks yourself.
