My day yesterday started out like shit.
First off for those of you who don't live in the chicago area it is psychotically cold here. The wind chill temp here yesterday was -26..... thats right 26 below zero. Well normally i would just stay inside and not worry one way or another about the temp. Well the night before my mom had decided she wanted to run some errands. So we ahd rented a car from Zipcar (we have an account with them) well eventhough it was cold out i really didn't mind cause i knew it would be a good day out with my mom.
Well it WOULD have been.

But after we ran our first errand we started hearing a weird noise... well not owning a car and knowing NOTHING at all about cars. We didn't know what it was. About 15 minutes later a cabby drove up rolled down his window and told us we had a flat tire. I pulled the car over into the nearest gas station and called Zipcar..... this is where the day went to hell.
The tire had gone flat at about 12 and we had set up the rental from 11-2. Well the road side assistance tow truck company didn't show up till 2:30 to change. We weren't able to get the car back to the spot till almost 3:30. Well Zipcar said that we have to pay for the ENTIRE time the car was out. The whole time we were just sitting there waiting for the tire guy to come. That is bullshit. I did not rent a car to just sit in it for 4 fucking hours and do nothing. The car rental went from $30 to over $50 and to get NOTHING done what so ever. My day started out shitty as hell.


Luckilly it ended REALLY good and made up for that shit. My best friend Manni showed up around 6 to pick me up and go out for the night.We started out running over to my friend Heathers house to hang out for a while. She was having a candle party and had invited Manni. We had a good time though. After the "party" part was over we just stood around at heathers and talked and laughed.
We then ran over to the theater to see CLOVERFIELD. First off is the fact that the trailer for the NEW STAR TREK MOVIE. I litterally was freaking out in my seat. All my muscles tensed up and i was just grabbing onto Manni's arm for dear life. The trailer showed the ENTERPRIISE being constructed in different sections and had a voice over from Leonard Nemoy saying "Space the final frontier..." and then the words "UNDER CONSTRUCTION" comes up... WOW god i can't wait to see it. biggrin
All i have to say about the movie is

WOW I loved it so much. I know alot of people are claiming that its just a Blair Witch rip off because of the hand held view of it. Well that pisses me off. Every time a movie comes out that uses that form of movie capture thats the first thing the public says. The movie was FAR from a blair which take off. Both me and Manni loved it. I felt like i was IN the action. Every time they came across problems and monsters i felt for them and was screaming RUN MOTHER FUCKER in my head. I felt for all the characters i wanted them to run and fight and survive. The monster looked AMAZING ugly and nasty and scary. I look forward to seeing it again. Either in theaters or on DVD.


We ended the night by going to one of our favorite dinners to eat. A little place called BLUE ANGELS. I got to eat an amazing Rueben sandwich and i loved it.
So luckily my shitty day ended up really good. My week is very full with plans today which is good. Not much sitting around for me this week. The heat in the condo isn't the best so I'm sitting here bundled up but still happy. smilesmilesmilesmile
